Virtual scenery of Airport Waalhaven
Virtual scenery built for Microsoft Flight Simulator 9.

Waalhaven was the home base of the Koolhoven factory. It was also a centre of cultural and social life in Rotterdam in the era between the world wars. This add-on is a conjectural representation of Waalhaven with the atmosphere as I think it has been. There are things missing, but I had to keep the framerates in mind. Anyone who has a contribution to make this add on better than it is, is more than welcome to send me an e-mail. I have to thank Ferry van Orden AKA Ferror and Huub Vink. These great guys were a great help with their remarks and suggestions. I’m sure a second version will follow, until then I abandon this field now for your enjoyment.
This base has two afcads. One is for the land part of the base. I included a traffic file that lets Jens Kristensen’s Fokker VIIa fly from Waalhaven to Amsterdam and back. The other afcad is for the water part of the base. I included a second traffic file that lets Richard Alexander Hien’s (AKA Payakan) Fokker C11W fly from Waalhaven and back. I adapted the aircraft.cfg to make it suited as a AI waterplane. The adapted aircraft.cfg is included in the download. Thanks for the permission Richard! These aircraft can be downloaded at the usual sites: Avsim.com and Flightsim.com.
This add-on was made using FSSC by Derek Leung, Ground2K4, AFCAD2 by Lee Swordy, SBuilder by Luís Sá, ObPlacer XML by Arno Gerretsen and SceneGenX by Tom Hiscox. The macros were made using EOD by Matthias Brückner. Textures were made using Paint Shop Pro and the excellent DXTBmp by Martin Wright. The macros from other people that are used, are a fuel macro, made by Arno Gerretsen and a windsock which is from FSDeveloper.com’s jdberg, JonPatch and Arno (the same!) All the other macros are made by me.
